Why should we brush our teeth at night?<\/div>

Brushing in the evening is important for maintaining good oral hygiene, since food residues accumulate in the mouth not only from the last evening meal but from the whole day. If these foods are not removed by diligent and systematic brushing, they are food for microbes, which metabolize food residues and release acids. Microbial acids “pierce” the tooth and cause the creation of a carious cavity. At the same time, during sleep, the flow of saliva decreases, resulting in a drier oral environment, which favors the growth of caries-causing microbes since the normal means of protecting the teeth is absent. According to the above, evening brushing is necessary and cannot be skipped.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>

Why does the socket of a tooth move?<\/div>

When the patient has the feeling that a case is moving, then it is necessary to visit the dentist immediately. The doctor will first clarify if only the tooth case or the tooth is moving. Once it is established that the tooth is stable within the alveolar bone, then the dentist can remove the crown (if this is possible) to determine the reasons for the case’s mobility. It may simply be that the crown has come off the tooth and needs to be re-welded. However, it is possible that the tooth – support of the case – has re-carioused and for this reason the case “doesn’t sit” well on the tooth anymore. In this case, the crown cannot be reattached to the tooth and a case needs to be rebuilt, after all the necessary procedures for removing the caries and reconstructing the tooth have been done.<\/p>\n

In such cases, it is good for the patient to visit the dentist immediately in order to identify the reason why a ring is moving and to carry out the necessary treatment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>

What kind of toothbrush should we use?<\/div>

The toothbrush with which we recommend brushing our teeth should first of all have a comfortable and long handle, so that it is easy to use and the patient has good access to the back of the mouth. In addition, the toothbrush should have dense bristles and be soft. The use of a soft toothbrush is important, because with it the chances of gum injury are reduced. The head of the toothbrush should be as small as possible, because this ensures access to even the most difficult areas of the mouth while at the same time cleaning the mouth becomes more detailed and thorough.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>

Why do I spit up blood when I brush my teeth?<\/div>

The most likely cause of a patient spitting up blood after brushing their teeth is that they have gingivitis. But there is a possibility that either the patient is pressing too much on his gums when brushing (which is why they bleed) or that the toothbrush is old and injuring the gums. In any case, a timely visit to the dentist is necessary for the necessary diagnosis and perhaps to carry out a teeth cleaning.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>
